Proparamedics is a unique and interesting business where each day differs from the next. We are the leading independent ambulance service in Northern Ireland with our head office based in Belfast with satellite stations at Altnagelvin and Enniskillen.
You may be suprised to learn that we employ 18 office-based staff and have a bank of over 130 staff, ranging from Ambulance Care Attendants to Medical Consultants, all fully trained, accredited and available to provide the relevant medical treatment as and when required.
At Proparamedics we take training, accreditation and regulation very seriously to ensure we always provide the highest quality, safest and most professional service. At Proparamedics we do things right!
The company offers five core areas of business:
We are also a member of the Independent Ambulance Association (IAA). IAA members are required to comply with the protocols of the Association which regulates independent ambulance services across the UK. In Northern Ireland, we are one of the founding members of the Independent Ambulance Forum (IAF) which was set up in 2013 in association with the regional Ambulance Service (NIAS) to ensure a common understanding of the consistent and high standards expected for the care of patients by ambulance services in Northern Ireland.
Proparamedics has also been at the forefront of raising awareness of the need for proper regulation, accreditation and training for independent ambulance providers in Northern Ireland to ensure there is a uniform level of professionalism across the industry.
We have regularly called for government to introduce regulation for our industry to ensure that patients can expect and rely on the highest possible standards at all times across the industry. If you would like to find out more about Proparamedics, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
